fsck is used to check and optionally repair one or more Linux file systems.

Hmm. On the Internet, it's also used as a soft variant of the f-word, one of the strongest and most controversial vulgarisms in the English language. When I was a kid, it was taboo; but over the years, the f-word has become more acceptable and common in daily usage.

What the fsck! :-)
