Lane discipline illa

Where were Bangaloreans when God was distributing lane discipline?
I had been to Lalbaugh Road to get some gym stuff, and it felt almost like being in the middle of a football field. One can understand two-wheelers (even small cars) cutting lanes, but buses…? One can't get away with anything close to that in Mumbai without being howled at, insulted and possibly fined (if caught). At least a tenth of Bangalore's traffic woes are due to the lack of maturity amongst its motorists. Nice to have this “anything goes” attitude when you're a small town, but Bangalore needs to grow up sometime.
Silicon Valley, my ass. Singapore, bullcrap. Garden City, umm… but where's the garden?
Are Bangaloreans (and the rest of India) being scammed into the delusion that they're living in a fantastic world-class city? Is Bangalore losing itself to the so-called “IT boom”, which might leave the city ravaged once it's done? Just a thought.
